BBM Revolution Cycling Club
BBM Revolution is the fastest growing cycling club in the UK. We are an exciting new cycling club for anyone who likes two wheels. Based in Knottingley, West Yorkshire we run a series of weekly organised rides from our base at BBM Bikes across most cycling disciplines and for all abilities.
With around 250 members of all abilities from complete beginner through to Olympian, we have quickly become one of the biggest cycling clubs in Yorkshire. We pride ourselves on the friendly atmosphere, professional advice and range of rides for any level. Our beginners rides are particularly popular for those new to the sport. The club promotes four road races each year. BBM Revolution CC is a community based non-profit organisation run by volunteers, we are registered with British Cycling and Cycling Time Trials.
FAQs for beginners
Do I need an expensive bike? No! People have ridden club rides on all sorts of bikes. A road bike is a good idea for the Saturday/Sunday social rides, but for EasyRiders any type of bike will be fine so long as it's roadworthy
I've never ridden in a group! Don't worry. Start with one of the slower rides to get used to riding in a group and in no time you'll be going faster, further and with less effort than you thought possible
Do I need to be a member to come on Club rides? If you are under 18 then yes, you need to join BBM before you ride with us (current membership rate for U18's is only a fiver though!). Adult riders don't have to join but if you like it and keep coming we'll ask you to join
Do I need to bring anything with me? On any ride you'll need a pump, spare inner tube (or two), something to drink, spare food (eg energy bar, cereal bar). For social rides with a cafe stop you'll need some money, and a waterproof jacket is sensible for most of the year
My bike is uncomfortable/I don't know if it fits The staff at BBM Bikes (our club HQ) will be happy to advise you on bike sizing and you may find this bike size giude article useful.
